The first national high voltage power transmission and distribution project in People’s Republic of Mongolia.
Solving electricity problem for industry and the residents in the region of Mongolia ‘s capital.
On July 14th 2016, Jargaltulga Erdenebat, Prime Minister of Mongolia, Li Keqiang, Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China , together witnessed the signing of Contract on 330kV Power Transmission and Distribution Project of Ulan Bator-Mandalgovi between TBEA and the energy ministry of Mongolia in Ulan Bator . The project is an energy & power cooperation project, during the Asia-Europe Meeting, the contract was signed by both parties in the signing ceremony for Sino-Mongolia cooperation projects.
This project includes a new substation, two expanding substations and a 248-kilometer power transmission line which was planned as the first national key power transmission and distribution project of the highest voltage level by the energy ministry of Mongolia. As an important livelihood project in Mongolia, it will satisfy the power demand for development of numerous resources in the southern area of the country, solve electricity problem for industry and the residents in the region of Mongolia ‘s capital. and provide more reliable and sufficient power supply to Ulan Bator after completion. Being conducive to the safe operation of the whole national power grid, this project is a vital energy corridor connecting the power grids of Mongolia and China.
This visit by Premier Li Keqiang to Mongolia is mainly to facilitate the alignment of China’s One Belt and One Road Initiative with Mongolia’s ”Road of Grassland” initiative strategy , and promote Sino-Mongolian large economic & trade projects and production capacity cooperation , as well as practical cooperation in fields of energy, infrastructure, finance, and animal-breeding & agriculture and so on. With complementary advantages in aspects of connectivity, infrastructure, energy, etc. between China and Mongolia ,N the two countries have great cooperation potential in the future.

Chairman Zhang Xin of TBEA remarked that, together with Tajikistan’s builders, TBEA constructed the Dushanbe thermal power plant, successfully completed the entrustment by the heads of both countries, and realized the solemn commitment to “benefit the people of Tajikistan and bring glory to the friendship between the two countries”. In the future, TBEA will continue to exert itself and work on to deepen its multi-faceted cooperation with Tajikistan government and people and make new and greater contributions to promote the friendship between the two countries and welfare of people of both countries.
